Hand-made dials, unique custom watches
I make custom watches, each dial is designed with the owner in mind and is unique. Dials are hand-made and hands, movements and cases are sourced and assembled to match the owner's sensibility. Dials, once designed, are hand made using a photo etching technique that I keep on refining over time. The latest dials are sharper and more complex. Markers and numbers are raised or sunk giving dials some depth. The technique gives an engraved and embossed feel while providing the accuracy of tamponage (pad printing) for the essential elements of the dial.
On average it takes 40 hours to design and make a dial. At every step of the process a mistake often leads back to step one. Usually, three dials are made and the best one is kept after etching. The finishing process is often repeated twice or more.
Recently, I've been using 3D printing and laser technology to offer a wider choice at softer price points.
